Leftover Crayons...

I have always wanted to find something to do with all the broken crayons that no body wants to color with. As I was browsing through Pinterest, I came across a cute idea. See it HERE.
I decided I would make my own.

First, start by taking ALL the paper off (this can take awhile if the crayons are older) and then chop them up.

Next, put the crayon pieces in a silicone pan. I found mine at Hobby Lobby. You can get any shapes or sizes, I used this pan because they can be used for any occasion. Put in the oven at 230 degrees for 15 minutes.

Let them cool for awhile until they are hard.

The finished product is fun and the kids will love it!

I have found many more cute ideas on Pinterest! I will begin working on another one tonight with the help of the hubby :)

  1. Have you seen where people make the heart shape and then turn it into Valentines for their students? I would totally do that if I taught a primary grade.

  2. Yes, I saw that on Pinterest as well. I will probably make those for the kiddos for Valentine's :)
