Target Dollar spot... Texas style!

While in Texas I had to go to the Target dollar spot. It was a Super Target and all I have to say is it was a Super Dollar Spot! With school about to start I knew they would have some great teaching items....and oh they did!

Dr. Suess bags (I plan to make centers to go in these), Cat in the Hat socks, Horton socks, Cat in the Hat Silly bands, Dr. Suess erasers

Rhyming cards, grade book, sparkly pom poms, pink and blue highlighter pens, to do list by days, pointer erasers, stamp pads, stamps, three books
I bought these for me personally, two card making kits, and a coupon organizer
Happy Birthday stickers, time to clean up and raise your hand signs, straws (for one of my centers I am making) office passes, pencils, I am a great reader books marks and to do list note pad

I loved the dollar spot. I can't wait to go to ours and see what goodies I can find!

Cheap Finds!

I mentioned in a previous post about the 6 for $5.00 store we went to in Texas. I thought I would share all my goodies!

This eye shadow is the most expensive thing I bought. $5.00 for both. I purchased one for a gift.
This is all the hair clips I bought. I promise I did not buy them all for me. Some are Christmas gifts. They are all super cute. I may have a hard time parting with the gifts...

 Close up of the clips
This is all the earrings I bought. Again, some are Christmas gifts.

 The necklaces
Rings, and a random pair of earrings that missed the earring picture...

I LOVE THIS RING! I love zebra, so the ring is definitely me.

Hair bands, again some are Christmas gifts
More hair bands.

This store was amazing! I had so much fun in it. I think I could have stayed in it all day :)

Texas

We left for Texas on Thursday and arrived back home late Tuesday night. We were supposed to be home Monday night, but all the flights to Atlanta were delayed for bad weather and we were unable to make our flight.

We had a lot of fun while we were there. I thought I would share a few pictures of the things that we did.

Tiffany and I the first night at the boys softball game. The field was amazing. It wasn't actually grass or dirt. Pretty fancy!

We went and watched Harry Potter 2. Remy and I had already seen it, but it was good enough to see again :)

Frenkel and I at the Galleria trying on masks.

Ice skating rink at the Galleria
Top Golf- this is a game where you have to hit the ball into certain areas and you get points. The balls are programmed with your name.

My AMAZING salad at Chipotle. We ate here 3 times. It was yummy!

 Natural History Museum

Rangers Game- It was an amazing game and they came back in the last inning for the win. We tried to go two other nights as well, but they were sold out :(

Meet Tiffany- AKA the bird lady. We went to Dallas World Aquarium. It was kind of like an indoor zoo, aquarium. It was amazing!

At the aquarium in front of the indoor waterfall.

Meet Kino, the dog who LOVES me. Everywhere I went he laid with me, slept next to me etc. Pretty cool pup.

This is an amazing store Tiffany introduced to me. They had rows and rows of earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, hair bows, hair clips, headbands etc. Almost everything was 6 items for $5.00. Necklaces were only a $1.00 (they didn't qualify for the 6 for $5.00) The only thing I didn't buy for $1.00 was eye shadow. It was $2.99 and $1.99.... I don't know if I can handle that price! ;)
Another blog to come with all my goodies!

Laser tag at ITZ. SO much fun! We were all pouring sweat when we were done.

These are just a few of the pics I took. We had a great time and are looking forward to going back!

We're leaving on a jet plane!

That's right! After MANY months of planning and anticipation we are finally leaving tomorrow morning (before the sun comes up) to go to Texas to visit Frenkel and Tiffany! Frenkel and the hubs were best friends before he moved to Texas (I believe his 11th grade year), he then returned for awhile and I knew him for a month before he moved back to Texas. They are still amazing friends even through all the miles. I love Frenkel and I will claim him as well. I am so glad to have met Tiffany when they came for our wedding in January. They are amazing people and we are lucky to have them in our lives.

Here are some pics of our fabulous friends.

I think Tiff is trying to convince Frenkel to dance with her :)

I believe this is when he was about to sing to us at our wedding.

Super sweet.

We have a lot planned and I will take MANY pictures. We are going to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Have a fabulous weekend everyone! I will post when we get back!

Date night!

Tonight the hubs and I are finally going on a date night.
Our night will consist of Harry Potter, dinner, and Walmart(followed by a trip to his Nana's) because that's what married people do right?!? :)

Have I mentioned I am very excited?!?

Flower bed...

A couple months ago my mom and I put in a flower bed in the front of our house. I was worried that we didn't put in enough plants.

This is what it looked like when we first did it.

Sorry the pictures are bad quality, but they were taken on my phone. Notice the cute turtle? I saw this in my mom's yard and fell in love with it. The next thing I knew it was in my flower bed. Love my momma!
Remy and I love turtles. We actually have a pet turtle named Mr. Turtle. I have had him for about 6 years. Remy has adopted him :) More about him later...

This morning I thought I would take some pictures of the flower bed now... Wow what a change.

Watermelon Fun!

On Sunday my aunt had the First Annual Watermelon Carving Contest. It was so much fun! There was a lot of cute watermelons carved.

This is the one I carved, a cute porcupine! There was another person that did the same one as me... Oh well :)

My Aunt Monica did this one. She won 2nd place. It was a bouquet of flowers :)

Aunt Paulette cheated. She cut out her design before hand! It is definitely cute though!

Sponge bob was the WINNER!!!
Aunt Lisa and Uncle Thomas's cute rabbit.

My mom made the crazy baby cradle with the baby. I love the hair. ha ha

This was the other porcupine.

We had a great time with the family. I hope we do it again next year!
